About

Why Verina exists

Most sleep products treat the night as one problem. It is two, and that single observation is the reason this company exists.

Two problems, two formulas

Lying awake at bedtime and waking at 3am are run by different systems. Sleep onset is a winding-down problem, tied to arousal and to the drop in core body temperature that lets sleep begin. Sleep maintenance is a different job, done across the shallowest hours of the night. One product aimed at both tends to do neither properly, so we make one formula for each.

Doses you can check

Every ingredient is listed at the amount the research used, in plain elemental numbers. There are no proprietary blends, and nothing is included at a token dose so that it can appear on a label. Where the evidence for an ingredient is thin, we say so in the journal and we do not lead with it.

Testing that gets published

Each batch will be screened by an independent laboratory for purity and heavy metals, and the results published. You should be able to read them before you decide anything.

The journal

The science lives in the journal, written as education. Every specific figure and named study carries a citation, and we grade the evidence no more generously than the researchers did. Some of what you will read there is a plain account of what the evidence does not show.

Who is behind Verina

Verina was founded by a doctor. That is why the journal is referenced, and why it says plainly where the evidence runs out.
